How does Thynk decide which properties appear in Check Availability?

    By · Published · Updated

    Short answer

The Check Availability property selector lists every property a user can access (optionally narrowed by an admin filter); the grid shows properties in the active filter (default hotel or Any Property) that own at least one active, non-paymaster space area, narrowed by resort if selected.

    Full answer

Thynk's Check Availability view helps sales managers and Global Sales Office teams compare function space across properties before quoting a group or event. Two parts of the screen work together, and each follows clear rules.

    The property selector:

    • Lists every property the user is allowed to see, based on their Salesforce access.
    • Can be narrowed further by an administrator with a custom filter, so teams only see the hotels and venues relevant to them.

The availability grid shows a property when:

    • It is included in the active property filter. On first load this is the user's default hotel, and choosing Any Property shows every property the user can access.
    • It owns at least one active space area for function space (paymaster space areas are excluded).
    • It matches the selected resort, when a resort filter is applied.

Because the grid is driven by property access and active space areas, administrators control what appears by managing user access, default hotels and the status of each property's space areas. This keeps multi-property MICE and group sales teams focused on the venues they can actually sell, with one consistent view of function space availability across the portfolio.
