# How do I clone a booking in Thynk to rebook the same event on future dates?

> Open the booking, choose Clone Booking from the down arrow, enter a new name, arrival date and guest number, then choose whether to keep the original guest numbers, keep only the guest rooms and update room rates for the new dates. Transactional fields start fresh and the option date is based on the clone date.

## Full answer

When a client's event goes well and they want to run it again, Thynk lets you clone the booking instead of building a new one from scratch. The copy keeps the structure you have already set up, such as events, packages, products and guest rooms, and you simply give it a new name and arrival date. It is ideal for annual conferences, incentive programmes and other recurring business.

Open the original booking, click the down arrow at the top right and choose Clone Booking.

Enter a Name for the new booking and its new Arrival Date.

Check the Guests number, which is copied from the original, and change it if needed.

Choose your options: Keep Original Booking Guests keeps the same attendee numbers on every event, package and function room; Keep Original Booking Guests Rooms Only keeps just the guest rooms identical; Update Room Rates applies the rates for the new dates from your PMS, if interfaced, or from Thynk. Leave the first two unticked when the new booking needs a different number of guests.

Click Save.

Transactional details such as the status, signature, invoicing and payment amounts, pick-up figures and PMS references start fresh on the new booking, and its option date is calculated from the day you clone it, so the copy is clean and ready to sell.
